Word of the Week
This week our word of the week is expression. Do you know what expressions means? Go online to find out. Here are some examples of the word in sentences.
1. He has a happy expression on his face.
2. Grandad uses old fashioned expressions.
3. She read her book with expression.
Talk about these sentences with your family and see if you can think of any more. Try playing a game with your family using different facial expressions. Try reading your book using expression. Think of some expressions that grown ups use such as 'you're the bee's knees' or 'happy as a clam'.
All our English work for the next two weeks will be based around the Ladybird story 'Cinderella;'
