Weather Around the World
This term we are learning about weather around the world. In English we have lots of exciting stories to read, including some traditional tales. We will be finding out about different kinds of animals and whether they are herbivores, omnivores or carnivores, as well as looking at the places they live and the kind of weather they experience. In maths we are moving on to numbers to 50 and using what we already know about numbers to 20 to work with bigger numbers. We will also begin to complete activities involving measuring in Maths.
World Book Day 2019
We celebrated World Book Day by coming to school dressed as our favourite story book characters. Throughout the day we completed many reading activities.

We also welcomed Luke Temple, a local author, to tell us about the children's books he has written.
Friday 8th March 2019
The stained glass windows we saw in the church and the chapel fascinated the children in Class 1. We decided to create our own stained glass windows using dabbing markers and dipping cotton buds in paint.
The children worked for a long time on their windows and showed great perseverance.
