Class 7

Welcome to class 7!

We are a year 4 class and our teachers are Mr Richards and Mrs Neary. Mrs Dunbar and Mr Stark also support us in our learning.

This term we are learning about the Vikings in History, learning about Christianity and forgiveness within different faiths  in RE, looking at sketching techniques when creating portraits in Art and looking at sound and electricity in Science. To find out more, go to our news and newsletters section of the website.

Learning at home

We ask that the children read their school reading books and then quiz on them in school. Please make sure your child has their reading book and reading record with them every day. We are focusing on our times tables and would encourage everyone to keep using TT Rockstars. If you have forgotten or lost your login details please contact us via class dojo and we will sort this out for you.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Swimming and PE

Swimming takes place on a Monday afternoon and PE always takes place on a Wednesday. All children should have the correct kit in school for these lessons.

Water bottles

All children should bring a water bottle in to school with them each day. This can be filled when emptied but it should be taken home and washed each night. We ask that children only bring in water to drink, not fizzy drinks or squash.

Snacks

Children may bring in a snack for break time. This should be a healthy snack such as fruit, vegetables or a cereal bar, not crisps, chocolate or a biscuit.

After school clubs

Thursday is Y4 times tables club after school with Mr Richards. There are also lunchtime times tables clubs with Mrs Dunbar on a Tuesday and Mrs Neary on a Friday.

Y4 Hinduism video

In December, Sunita came in and led a Hinduism workshop to link into our RE learning. We found out about Diwali and about traditional Hindu dances.

Class 7 kindness video

As part of our learning in PSHE and anti-bullying week, we looked at the power of kindness and 'one kind word'. As a class we put our ideas together and some of us created a video.
