Class 6

We are a fantastic class of 30 children who love to work hard and learn lots of new things. Our teacher is Miss Steer and our teaching assistant is Mrs Nelson. We are very lucky because on a Wednesday we also have Coach James and Coach Rachel from Synergy who do P.E with us and Mrs Dunbar comes and teaches in the afternoon too.

Please come and look at our class page often because we will post lots of our amazing work.

From Class 6

Class 6 will have P.E on a Monday and a Wednesday. Please bring your P.E. kit on a Monday and take it home on Friday.

P.E kit should always be worn for exercise. Our P.E kit is dark shorts, white t.shirt, plimsols or trainers. Long jogging bottoms and a plain hoodie may be worn when the weather gets colder.

Termly Update!

   Welcome to Spring Term.

This term in Class 6 we are going to be learning all about the Stone Age. We will be learning how the people of the time hunted for their food, how they communicated with each other and how they lived. We will be using artefacts borrowed from The Collection in Lincoln and going on a visit there to find out lots of information. In English we will also be reading the book Stone Age Boy.

In Science we will be learning about rocks and soils and in Maths we will be thinking about multiplication and division as well as finding fractions of numbers and shapes.

We will try and update the page as often as possible to show you what we have been up to.

This term we have been comparing the UK to Europe.

In Science we have looked at Light and Dark. We have also looked at Magnetism. Here are some pictures that show you what we have been getting up to.

This term in English we have read lots of books. Firstly, we focussed our work on Grandad's Island where we wrote a character and setting description. Then, we wrote some letters based upon the story The Day The Crayon's Quit. This term we also looked at writing our own play script based on the work by William Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Nights Dream'. Before christmas, we are reading the story of The Fourth Wiseman. We are going to write a diary entry in the shoes of a character from the story.

This term we have learnt lots of different things in Maths. We have looked at Place Value, Addition and Subtraction, Units of Measure, Money, Length and Perimeter and Statistics.
