In English this term we will be reading some fantastic new books which include: Holes, Skellig and The Rough Faced Girl. As a result of reading them, we will be writing through genres like: setting descriptions, diary entries, balanced arguments and a book review.
In maths we will be covering a wide range of topics including: geometry, measures and algebra as well as revisiting concepts such as fractions, decimals and percentages.

Summer Term
Year 6 have lots of exciting things planned for the summer term including: the trip to London; leavers assembly; prom and even a show. Our project this term is WW2 and we will hopefully be visiting the Bomber Command Centre. In English we will be looking at some brilliant texts such as: Wonder and Letters from a lighthouse. We are looking forward to seeing the Year 6's thrive in their last term of primary school.
Our project this term is Crime and Punishment. We will be looking at how crimes and punishments have changed over time from the Romans to the present day. We will focus on crime and punishments of Anglo Saxons, Tudors and Victorians and have a visit to The Galleries of Justice in Nottingham planned as well as visits from our local PCSO and a potential forensic science workshop
